5 ways to get involved with Hidden Door 2018

Now that we’ve announced our plans to return to Leith in 2018, we wanted to share a few ways that you can get involved with the festival next year – whether it’s exhibiting work, becoming a sponsor, or simply grabbing yourself a ticket….

1. Submit a proposal

We’re currently inviting proposals for artists, performers, organisations and other creatives who have ideas for something they’d like to do at Hidden Door next year.

The deadlines are Visual Art (13 November), Theatre (13 November), Dance (13 November), Spoken Word (20 November) and Film (5 January 2018).

2. Buy an early bird ticket

For the first time ever, we’ve released a limited batch of super early-bird tickets valid for any night of the festival.

For just £10, you’ll get access to everything happening at Hidden Door on the evening that you choose – music, visual art, theatre, film, spoken word, dance, special events and late night DJs – across both venues.

Bargain!

3. Become a partner or sponsor

As a non-profit organisation, our partners and sponsors are vital to making Hidden Door happen. We’ve got an exciting mix of potential sponsorship and partnership options, so if you’re interested in getting on board, get in touch!

4. Volunteer!

We’re a volunteer-run arts organisation and every year we put out a call for people to join in. Whether it’s helping transform the venues, supporting the artists, stewarding at the festival itself or a whole bunch of other tasks – there’s plenty to do!

We’ll be putting out the call for volunteers in the new year, so follow us on Facebook and Twitter for updates.

5. Share your photos

You can even get involved right now from the comfort of your own home, simply by sending us your photos of past Hidden Door festivals. We’re pulling together a gallery of images and would love to see any snaps you’ve taken. We’ll credit you anywhere we use them, of course. Send them to press@hiddendoorblog.org.
