What Would Kanye Do? is a work-in-progress solo performance project which follows the fantasies, fears and passions of aspiring rapper Marcy as she struggles to justify her irrational love for a divisive rap star.
Clare Marcie is a New Zealand actor, writer and theatre maker currently based in the UK.
A graduate of the theatre studies program at Victoria University of Wellington, Clare moved to the UK in 2013 to train as a professional actor at The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (formerly RSAMD). During her studies Clare undertook a month long residency at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, performed at The Tron and the Arches in Glasgow, The Traverse Theatre in Edinburgh, and The Cockpit in London.
Since graduating in 2014, Clare has performed at The Tron, Platform, the CCA, (Glasgow) Scottish Storytelling Centre (Edinburgh), Horsecross Arts Centre (Perth), Rich Mix and the Lyric Hammersmith (London). She has experience performing in a wide range of spaces, from traditional theatres to swimming pools. She loves to collaborate, and has a passion for both stage and screen.
