Picking up the No. 2 spot in TravelSupermarket’s UK Hip Hang-out Neighbourhood Index, Leith is rapidly gaining recognition of its unique qualities on a national level.
Marking Hidden Door’s inaugural visit to the port, we host a panel discussion asking how culture plays a part in this. Do the people of Leith want trams, or a Tramway? Does the gathering of ever greater numbers of creative folk, coffee shops and a money-can’t-buy cachet of coolness signal a clarion call to developers and homogeneity? And how does our 2017 festival at the long dormant Leith Theatre fit in to all of this?
Chaired by Chris Dobson, Associate Director at 3DReid.
Panelists include; Diarmaid Lawler – Head of Urbanism, Architecture & Design Scotland, Lee Ivett (Baxendale, Arch Fringe), Karen Fleming (DOK Artist Space)
Come along to this exciting event at the Old Leith Theatre on Sunday 28th May, 7.00-8.30pm.
