JJG Dance – The Box

Main Auditorium

1 Jun 12:00 pm

Julia James-Griffiths is an emerging contemporary dance artist based in Scotland. The inspiration behind her work comes from her interest in exploring human psychology and the senses. She is interested in developing work that is multi-layered in form, visually artistic, and thought provoking. Her work is considered and explored with innovation, intrigue and honesty, with the aim of expressing that which is unspoken.

1 in 4 of us live in The Box, what are we going to do about it?

Julia is in the process of creating a new challenging work that explores the impact depression can have on an individual, and how our society responds to it.

This performance at Hidden Door will involve a showing of the work in-progress, followed by a Q&A.
