Riot Jazz Brass Band is a 9-piece brass band made up of trumpets, trombones, a sousaphone, drums and an MC. Their unique mix of funk, soul, hip-hop and aggressive jazz has propelled them into one of the UK’s most exciting live acts over the last decade and after considerable success, they are now ready to take the big step into the rich diversity of Europe’s many venues and festivals.

The last 5 years has seen the band feature in a number of internationally acclaimed festivals such as Glastonbury, WOMAD, Soundwave Festival (Croatia), Kendal Calling, London Jazz Festival, Manchester Jazz Festival as well as being invited to play on Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch and at Ted X talks in Salford. A particularly successful recent project involved the recording of a live album over the course of two sold out nights at Manchester’s famous ‘Band on the Wall’ venue.

The Riot Jazz Brass Band navigate a minefield of original peace-lovin’ aggro jazz, hip hop samples, funked-up favourites and re-interpreted dubstep, drum’n’bass and dance floor bangers that never fail to send limbs flying!
