Dave House (The Reverse Engineer) and Sink collaborated on a highly successful live set for Kelburn Garden Party last year and are looking forward to co-creating new work for this years Hidden Door Festival. The Old Leith Theatre is a remarkable space bursting with performative potential and we think we have just the machines to set it spinning.
The Pianocube is a playable sculpture made from three junked upright pianos. Set into sonic motion by its inventors the members of Sink with sticks and screws, hooked to the electronic augmentation devices of The Reverse Engineer and amplified to fill the cavernous theatre space with Kaleidoscopic electro-acoustic improvisation this promises to be truly spectacular. Between performances members of the public are invited to play the sculpture for themselves.
