Tim Sandys associates his work with societal and civic structures. Sandys employs actions and interventions blended with a sculptural poetic that promote an exercise in empathy in the face of impersonal civilian trappings. These actions and subsequent artefacts tackle the negated status of the individual functioning in a societal context. Using both empowering and provocative methods, this practice flirts simultaneously with deviance and empathy.
