Hidden Door

Hello friends,

Our Hidden Door team is looking for friendly humans to help us out with this year’s Hidden Door Weekender.

Following a successful fundraising campaign last year, we’re back for four nights of music and visual art, from Thursday 30 May to Sunday 2 June, in our beloved Leith Theatre.

Hidden Door is a not-for-profit, volunteer-run arts organisation which opens up urban spaces as a platform for new and emerging talent. Over the years we’ve supported countless visual artists, musicians, theatre makers, performers, film makers and poets. Through organising temporary events Hidden Door works to showcase new work and create engaging environments for the public to experience, explore and discover.

If this year’s weekender goes well, we hope to return to a full festival format in 2020, in a new and exciting venue yet to be announced.

Duties will include:

• Venue set up / take down – helping with building, painting and carrying
• Event stewarding and invigilating artwork (in jazzy high-vis waistcoats!)
• Box office – ticket sales and wristband distribution
• Promotion – flyering, sharing on social media, and other cool fun stuff to come…
